Marvins First Birthday - Most Interesting Results Competition

We’re on the hunt for the most exciting results generated on our HPC cluster, Marvin, over the past year! If your research has produced (or is searching for) interesting simulations, analyses, or visualizations, this is your chance to showcase your work.

What prices can you win?


First price:

  • 3x Fair share on Marvin for 6 months for your research group
  • One week of Premium HPC Support! One of our support team members will join your group for a full week, help install HPC software, help review your code, job scripts, or hold training courses, according to what you need!

Second price:

  • 2x Fair share on Marvin for 6 months for your research group

Third price:

  • 1.5x Fair share on Marvin for 6 months for your research group

Concept

Have you worked on an exciting project using our HPC cluster, Marvin? Whether you’ve produced groundbreaking results already or just started an innovative research idea, we want to hear about it!

Submitting is easy—just send us a short abstract describing your project. A committee of senior researchers and HPC staff will select up to seven finalists, who will have the chance to present their work at Marvin’s Birthday Party on March 25th.

At the event, attendees will vote for the best contribution using their mobile phones, and winners will receive prizes!

Contributions will be displayed prominently on the HPC Website.
